Winery Vine Ponto Expands Global Reach
Winery Vine Ponto, located in Telavi, is rapidly gaining international recognition for its premium wines, exporting to markets across the USA, Sweden, the UK, Ukraine, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
The winery produces around 150,000 bottles annually and cultivates grapes on a 3-hectare vineyard. It employs 6 full-time and 12 seasonal workers, with a focus on both traditional Georgian winemaking and export-driven growth.
Vine Ponto’s wines have earned accolades at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC)—one of the most prestigious global platforms in the industry. The winery won a silver medal in 2024 for its Kisi 2018, and a gold medal in 2025 for its Mukuzani 2021, reinforcing its reputation for excellence.
“Our participation and success at IWSC underscore the quality of our wines and the potential of Georgian viticulture on the international stage,” said a company representative.
The IWSC, held annually for over 50 years, evaluates the world’s best wines and spirits, providing an influential platform for exposure to global buyers and wine professionals.
