Silknet to Deploy NVIDIA AI Infrastructure in Georgia
Silk Cloud, a subsidiary of Silknet, has announced plans to deploy NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra infrastructure in Georgia. The investment marks the first phase of establishing sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructure in the country.
The project will give organizations, businesses, startups and researchers access to world-class computing resources to train and deploy advanced AI models. The infrastructure will be built using HPE’s NVIDIA HGX B300 systems and is expected to become operational in 2027, subject to the necessary approvals.
Through Silk Cloud and the new infrastructure, businesses will be able to access services needed to adopt artificial intelligence and deploy AI models in practice. They will also be able to develop Georgian-language large language models and applications tailored to local needs.
By establishing AI computing infrastructure in Georgia, Silknet aims to support the development of the country’s AI ecosystem and enable organizations to host data locally, helping them meet data residency requirements.
