Presentation of Georgian Wine for HoReCa Sector Representatives Held in Warsaw

To diversify the export markets of Georgian wine, a Georgian wine tasting event was held in the capital of Poland with the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the Agency’s contractor, the Polish marketing company People PR.

The event was attended by professionals from the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, cafés), including representatives of Michelin-starred restaurants in Warsaw, as well as sommeliers — a total of 40 guests.

The program included a seminar on Georgian wine culture and ways to support the growth of Georgian wine sales in Poland, as well as a tasting-masterclass on pairing Georgian wines with various international cuisines. Nine wines of different appellations were presented at the tasting.

The presentation of Georgian wine was led by sommelier, importer, and certified HoReCa trainer Szymon Milonas, together with sommelier Jan Knaber from one of Warsaw’s Michelin-starred restaurants.

As part of the event, a small-format walk-around tasting was held, attended by six Polish importers of Georgian wine.

The event was supported by the Polish Sommelier Association. Poland is one of the strategic markets for Georgian wine and has consistently secured a place among the top five export destinations. Since 2022, the National Wine Agency has been cooperating with People PR to carry out marketing campaigns for Georgian wine on the Polish market. During this period, stable growth in Georgian wine exports to Poland has been observed.

According to data from January–October 2025, Georgian wine exports to Poland reached 5.7 million liters, representing a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
