Popular Italian Broadcaster Gambero Rosso TV Producing Special Series on Georgian Wine

A film crew from the renowned Italian television channel Gambero Rosso TV visited Georgia with the support of the National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia in the Italian Republic.

During their visit, the crew attended National Wine Day celebrations held on May 8 and, with the support of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, visited wineries and wine cellars in the country’s key wine-producing regions, including Kakheti, Racha, Kartli, and Imereti.

The resulting television series will consist of four episodes dedicated to the history, culture, traditions, gastronomy, and winemaking heritage of Georgia. The programs will showcase the uniqueness of Georgian wine and highlight its deep connection to the country’s cultural identity.

Gambero Rosso TV is widely recognized for its high-quality content focused on wine, gastronomy, and culinary culture. Its audience primarily includes winemakers, sommeliers, restaurateurs, hospitality professionals, and wine and food enthusiasts. The upcoming features are expected to further increase awareness of Georgian wine and strengthen recognition of its unique qualities among Italian and international audiences.

Promoting Georgian wine, increasing its visibility in international markets, and supporting the development of wine tourism remain key priorities of the National Wine Agency. To achieve these goals, the Agency has collaborated for many years with leading international media organizations, including CNN, CBS, and Netflix.

The Gambero Rosso TV project is expected to further strengthen Georgia’s reputation as one of the world’s most distinctive wine destinations and contribute to the growing international interest in Georgian wine, gastronomy, and wine tourism.
