National Wine Agency to Employ Around 60 Young People During the Grape Harvest

During the 2026 grape harvest, the National Wine Agency will employ around 60 young people as operators at the harvest coordination headquarters and wineries.

The candidates were selected through interviews. Specialists from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture provided the selected candidates with job-specific training at the harvest coordination headquarters.

Some of the recruits already have experience in similar roles from previous harvest seasons.

The operators will record and process data on grape deliveries using the harvest recording system. Introduced in Georgia in 2013, the system ensures the collection of comprehensive and accurate data on grapes delivered to wineries. This information is important for managing the harvest efficiently and producing high-quality wine.

Georgia’s grape harvest is forecast to reach 320,000 tonnes in 2026.
