National Wine Agency Explores Expansion of Georgian Wine Presence at Global ProWein Exhibitions

The National Wine Agency of Georgia hosted a meeting with Mikheil Mandeli, the official representative of Messe Düsseldorf in Moldova, the South Caucasus, and Asia, to discuss the future of Georgian wine at international ProWein exhibitions.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency Zurab Vacharadze and Mandeli reviewed Georgia’s long-standing participation in ProWein and explored new opportunities for showcasing Georgian wine at upcoming exhibitions in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brazil. The meeting was also attended by Elene Kiknadze, Head of the Agency’s Events and Exhibitions Division.

Messe Düsseldorf, based in Germany, is the organizer of ProWein, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for wine and spirits. Georgia has participated in the Düsseldorf edition of ProWein for 25 years, celebrating this milestone at the 2024 exhibition held in March.

In addition to Düsseldorf, Georgian wine—supported by the National Wine Agency—has been featured at ProWein Japan and ProWein China, underlining the country’s efforts to expand its global reach and visibility in key export markets.

ProWein provides an international platform for wine producers, importers, and technology providers to establish connections, explore industry trends, and develop business opportunities. Georgian wine’s increasing participation in these events highlights its growing role on the global wine stage.
