Major Georgian Wine Showcase Held in Greece to Strengthen Market Presence and Awareness

With the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency and organized by the Embassy of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, a large-scale Georgian wine tasting and official reception was held in Athens at the historic venue, The Hellenic Armed Forces Officers' Club.

Twenty-two Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the tasting event, providing their representatives with an opportunity to meet local potential business partners, importers, and wine professionals.

The official reception was attended by representatives of various embassies accredited in Greece.

The event was also attended by Levan Beridze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic.

Interest in Georgian qvevri wine is notably high in Greece, making the market a promising destination for further promotion of Georgian wine.

As part of efforts to diversify Georgian wine export markets, this event marked the first large-scale promotional initiative in Greece aimed at increasing awareness and strengthening the presence of Georgian wine in the country.

One of the National Wine Agency’s key priorities is supporting the promotion and recognition of Georgian wine in international markets. To diversify export destinations, the Agency implements targeted marketing and promotional campaigns across the United States, Europe, and Asia, helping to expand the global reach and reputation of Georgian wine.
