Georgian Wines Featured in American Wine Publication

"Georgian Wines Enter the Global Arena" — this is the title of an article published in the American edition of The Wine Palate.

The article was authored by American Master of Wine Lisa Perrotti-Brown, who visited Georgia in July as part of a collaboration between the National Wine Agency and the American company Big Sky Ranch Inc.

During her visit, Perrotti-Brown toured various Georgian wine cellars and producers in the Kakheti region, where she tasted a wide range of wines and became acquainted with traditional and modern Georgian winemaking techniques.

In Tbilisi, over a two-day period, she sampled approximately 100 wines from different Georgian producers in a dedicated tasting session. Her evaluations were later published in The Wine Palate. The purpose of this collaboration with a world-renowned wine expert is to raise awareness and visibility of Georgian wine in the United States.

The Wine Palate is an online wine publication with a global database of professionally reviewed wines, regularly updated with new tastings. The platform helps users discover wines by style and enhance their overall tasting experience.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown, who has over 25 years of experience in the wine industry, is expected to visit Georgia again in October. Her expertise primarily focuses on American, Bordeaux, and Champagne wines — a list to which Georgian wines have now been added.

The United States is one of Georgia’s key strategic export markets for wine. Since 2013, targeted marketing campaigns supported by the National Wine Agency have significantly contributed to the growth of both awareness and exports of Georgian wine in the U.S.
