Georgian Wines Featured at Interwine China 2025 Amid Growing Export Success

With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by Bogvi International Trading Company Ltd, the agency’s contractor, Georgian wines were featured at Interwine China 2025, an international wine and spirits exhibition held in Guangzhou, China. Eight Georgian wine-producing companies participated, representing various appellations.

Interwine China is one of the largest alcohol exhibitions in China and has been held twice annually—spring and autumn—since 2005. More than 500 producers from around the world take part in the exhibition each year, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, including wine buyers, distributors, and representatives from restaurant and hotel chains.

This year, wines from 53 countries were showcased.

With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wines were also presented at other major exhibitions in China in 2025, including the Fine Wine Hotel Exhibition, China Food & Drinks Fair, and RAW Wine Shanghai.

China remains one of the most important strategic export markets for Georgian wine. A targeted marketing campaign has been underway in China since 2013 to raise awareness and boost exports. As a result, China has become one of the top five countries importing Georgian wine.

According to data from January to April 2025, Georgia exported 1.12 million liters of wine to China—an increase of 78% compared to the same period last year.
