A Georgian wine masterclass and tasting was held in Düsseldorf, Germany, with financial support from the National Wine Agency and organised by the Agency’s contracted marketing company, ff.k Public Relations.
The presentation was led by renowned German influencer and sommelier Toni Askitis, with the participation of two Georgian winemakers: Ana Mirianashvili of Chelti Winery and Shota Natroshvili of Teliani Valley. Guests had an opportunity to discover and taste 12 Georgian wines.
To increase the export potential of Georgian wine in the German market, the National Wine Agency has cooperated with ff.k Public Relations since 2021. As part of the campaign, tastings and seminars are held in various German cities for wine professionals, trade representatives and consumers. Georgian wine is also presented at international exhibitions, targeted advertising and media campaigns are conducted, and wine tours in Georgia are organised for representatives of the media, wine industry and sales sector.
Germany is among the five leading export markets for Georgian wine and continues to demonstrate strong sales growth. From January through July this year, Georgia exported nearly 935,000 litres of wine to Germany, representing a 29% increase compared with the same period last year.
