Georgian Wine Showcased in New York at M.S. Walker Tasting Event

With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the organization of its partner company Vinovelii Inc., a Georgian wine tasting was held at the New York office of the American distribution company M.S. Walker.

The event brought together wine bloggers, importers, distributors, media representatives, and professionals from the HoReCa (hotel-restaurant-café) sector. Attendees were introduced to the history and culture of Georgian winemaking, as well as the diversity of its wines and indigenous grape varieties.

Thirty wines from ten Georgian wine producers were presented at the tasting.

Founded in Boston in 1933, M.S. Walker is one of the largest wine and spirits distribution companies in the United States, currently operating in multiple states. Introducing Georgian wine to this company represents a valuable opportunity to increase visibility and sales in the American market.

The United States is considered a strategic export market for Georgian wine. Since 2013, with the support of the National Wine Agency, targeted marketing efforts have significantly enhanced both the awareness and export volumes of Georgian wine in the U.S.
