Georgian Wine Presented at the Austin Food & Wine Festival in the State of Texas

With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the Agency’s contracted American marketing firm Colangelo & Partners, Georgian wine was showcased at the Austin Food & Wine Festival in Austin, Texas.

The National Wine Agency was one of the festival’s partners.

The festival featured 23 wines from various Georgian wine-producing companies. As part of the event, a tasting masterclass titled “Georgian Wine for Everyday Drinking” was also held.

The Austin Food & Wine Festival, held annually since 2012, traditionally brings together chefs from Michelin-star restaurants, sommeliers, wine professionals, representatives of the HORECA sector, and consumers. This is particularly important for increasing awareness and demand for Georgian wine among consumers in the strategic U.S. market.

The National Wine Agency carries out the U.S. marketing campaign in partnership with major American marketing firm Colangelo & Partners. As part of the campaign, tastings and seminars are held in different cities for wine professionals and trade representatives; Georgian wine is showcased at international exhibitions; and wine tours in Georgia are organized for media, sommeliers, and sales professionals — all of which help enhance the understanding and promotion of Georgian wine in the American market.

With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was presented in the United States this autumn at the following events:

  • Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting (Los Angeles)

  • Karakterre International Wine Festival (New York)

  • Orange Glou Fair (New York)

  • Amber Georgia — the first Georgian amber wine festival (New York)

  • RAW Wine NYC — the international natural wine exhibition (New York)

  • San Diego Food + Wine Festival (San Diego)

Additionally, two wine tours for American wine professionals were held in Georgia this autumn.
