Georgian Wine Presented at Michelin-Starred Restaurant Episode in Paris

With the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency and the Embassy of Georgia to the French Republic, a presentation and tasting of Georgian wines was held at the Michelin-starred restaurant Episode in Paris.

The event was hosted by Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the National Wine Agency’s Tasting Commission, and Christophe Lavelle, wine and gastronomy expert.

Invited guests, including wine professionals, representatives of the HoReCa sector, and wine trade specialists, had the opportunity to discover the diversity of Georgian wines, learn about traditional winemaking methods, and gain insight into Georgia’s rich wine culture and heritage.

The event was attended by Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic, Irakli Kurashvili, and Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Tamta Kvelaidze.

This marked the second Georgian wine showcase held in France during the same week. Another presentation and tasting event was organized at the prestigious Ritz Paris, further strengthening Georgian wine’s visibility in one of the world’s most influential wine markets.

Increasing awareness of Georgian wine and promoting it internationally remains one of the National Wine Agency’s key priorities. Since 2013, the Agency has actively implemented marketing and promotional campaigns in various countries, including France, a nation renowned for its winemaking heritage. Demand for Georgian wine—particularly qvevri wine—has been steadily growing in the French market.

The event provided an important opportunity to further position Georgian wine among leading international wine and gastronomy professionals, highlighting its unique identity, ancient traditions, and growing appeal among global consumers.
