Georgian Wine Presented at 250 International Events in 2025
Georgian wine was showcased at 21 exhibitions and festivals, as well as at up to 220 tasting seminars across the USA, Europe, and Asia during the first nine months of 2025.
Within the same period, 13 wine tours were organized in Georgia for foreign wine professionals. Masters of Wine, experts, sommeliers, and representatives of the commercial sector from Germany, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries visited Georgia and tasted wines on site.
It is also worth noting the wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals held throughout Georgia as part of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine on the Local Market, aimed at increasing awareness of Georgian wine, developing wine tourism, and enhancing wine consumer culture. During the reporting period, 18 exhibitions and festivals, along with 5 tastings and competitions, were held in Georgia.
The National Wine Agency is also continuing the state program for co-financing marketing expenses for companies exporting to international markets outside the CIS and GUAM countries. Under this program, in 2025, nine Georgian wine-producing companies received a total of 692,969 GEL in co-financing.
All of these activities are carried out within the framework of the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine, which amounts to 17.4 million GEL in 2025—an increase of 1.4 million GEL compared to the previous year.
