Georgian Wine Masterclass and Tasting Held in Miami as Part of Wines of Georgia on Tour

With the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency, a Georgian wine masterclass and tasting was held in Miami, USA, as part of the Wines of Georgia on Tour project.

The event was led by American sommelier Allegra Angelo, who introduced invited local wine professionals to the diversity and heritage of Georgian wine.

The tasting featured nearly 60 Georgian wines from a variety of producers and appellations. Georgian wines attracted significant interest from participants and received highly positive evaluations throughout the event.

The Miami tasting followed a similar event held in Chicago as part of the Wines of Georgia on Tour series. Additional presentations and tastings will take place across various U.S. states, with the aim of increasing awareness of Georgian wine and creating new export opportunities for Georgian producers.

The United States remains one of the most strategic markets for Georgian wine, characterized by both high quality standards and strong competition. In recent years, numerous marketing and tasting initiatives supported by the National Wine Agency have contributed significantly to the growing recognition of Georgian wine and the expansion of exports to the U.S. market.

The U.S. market is also one of the highest-value destinations for Georgian wine exports. The average export price of Georgian wine to the United States is approximately USD 6 per liter, highlighting its position within a premium market segment.
