Georgian Wine and Cuisine Showcased in Tokyo

A presentation of Georgian wine and cuisine was held in Tokyo, Japan, with financial support from the National Wine Agency and organised by the Agency’s contracted marketing company, Red Bridge.

In a specially designated area at Tokyo’s Aoyama Farmers’ Market, visitors had an opportunity to discover and taste Georgian wine and cuisine. Around 20 Georgian wines were presented at the event, alongside a selection of Georgian dishes.

Aoyama Farmers’ Market is one of Tokyo’s most prominent farmers’ markets, with a strong focus on high-quality products. In addition to wine consumers, the market attracts representatives of the HoReCa sector and professional chefs.

The event aimed to introduce Japanese consumers to Georgian wine, the diversity of the country’s grape varieties and Georgia’s 8,000-year history of winemaking.

Japan is one of Georgian wine’s strategic export markets, where demand for high-quality products and authentic, distinctive flavours continues to grow. Promotional activities in Japan help increase awareness of Georgian wine and expand its export potential, while strengthening its competitiveness in the international market.
