With the support of the National Wine Agency, six Georgian family wineries participated in the RAW Wine Copenhagen exhibition, held in the capital of Denmark.
RAW Wine (The Artisan Wine Fair) brings together producers of high-quality natural, organic, and biodynamic wines from around the world. The exhibition is organized by renowned French Master of Wine, Isabelle Legeron.
Visitors to the exhibition—including wine professionals, commercial sector representatives, and consumers—had the opportunity to taste wines from the following Georgian wineries: Akhmeta Wine House, Andria Wine, Ekimi Bio Cellar, Manavi Wines, Matiashvili Wine Cellar, and Sherma Family Winery.
The event was attended by Nata Menabde, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Denmark. Georgian entrepreneurs also received support from the Georgian Embassy in Denmark to showcase their wines in Copenhagen.
This year, Georgian family wineries have also been represented at RAW Wine exhibitions in Shanghai, Paris, Verona, and Tokyo.
Presenting Georgian wine in Denmark plays an important role in increasing its visibility in Scandinavian markets and diversifying export destinations. It is noteworthy that, with the support of the National Wine Agency, numerous targeted marketing activities have been carried out in recent years in Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland—resulting in growing interest in Georgian wine across the region.
