Georgia Hosts IWSC

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) will be held in Georgia.

After successful competitions held in South Africa and Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the summer, IWSC invites Georgian manufacturers to win awards. The competition will be held on Thursday, October 13. The names of the winners will be announced on October 15 at the partner event "Gurjaani Wine Festival".

International and local juries will select the best wines within the competition. Among them are wine experts Megan Clark and Maggie McPherson, senior sommeliers Salvatore Castano and Sedar Balkaia, as well as Georgian experts Giorgi Dakishvili and Ana Godabrelidze.

The International Wine & Spirit Competition is an annual wine and spirit competition founded in 1969 by the German/British oenologist Anton Massel. Each year the competition receives entries from over 90 countries worldwide. The awards given by the competition are considered as high honors in the industry.
