Fourteen Georgian Wine Producers Participate in London Wine Fair 2026 with Support from the National Wine Agency
With the support of Georgia’s National Wine Agency, 14 Georgian wine-producing companies participated in London Wine Fair 2026, one of the world’s leading international exhibitions for wine and alcoholic beverages.
London Wine Fair serves as an important platform for Georgian producers to identify new trade partners, promote their wines, and expand export opportunities. Held annually in London since 1981, the exhibition is recognized as one of the wine industry’s key international events.
As in previous years, the exhibition attracted thousands of visitors from around the world, including wine experts, trade professionals, importers, distributors, and media representatives.
The event was attended by Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ilia Darchiashvili.
Georgian wine producers also received support from the Embassy of Georgia in the United Kingdom in presenting their wines at the exhibition.
As part of the exhibition program, Master of Wine Sarah Abbott, head of the National Wine Agency’s UK contractor, Swirl Wine Group, conducted three Georgian wine masterclasses and tasting sessions for wine professionals, highlighting the diversity, heritage, and quality of Georgian wines.
The United Kingdom is one of the world’s largest wine-importing and wine-consuming countries and has been identified as one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine since 2014. Through consistent cooperation between the National Wine Agency and Georgian wine producers, Georgian wine has achieved steady growth in the UK market.
During the period from January to April 2026, Georgia exported approximately 116,500 liters of wine to the United Kingdom, representing an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
