Wizz Air Adds New Aircraft to Kutaisi Air Base
According to Wizz Air's head of corporate communications, the airline now has one aircraft headquartered in Georgia and will add another in the near future, specifically in August.
"We are constantly researching the markets, monitoring the flow of passengers, and, based on the data, discussing new destinations as well as where Wizz Air can enter, expand or add flights. There are options, though I can not name them without confirmation; Most importantly, the work is going on, the conversations are not interrupted and the news will be revealed in stages. In addition, we will add another aircraft to Georgia, which will obviously increase the frequency, "- said the head of corporate communications Wizz Air at BM.ge.
As for passenger traffic statistics, as Trubeck says, the number is gradually increasing and the pace of recovery is so fast that a record number of passengers is expected this summer, worldwide.
"Passenger flow rates in Georgia are returning to the pre-pandemic state and we have even higher expectations. The figures are positive, especially after two difficult years that have proved particularly damaging to the aviation industry. Humans have already begun to travel and this, in the first place, contributes to the stabilization of the pandemic. So we're looking forward to a hot and busy summer," said Wizz Air's head of corporate communications, Zsuzsa Trubek.
