UNESCO Grants Four Georgian Protected Areas World Natural Heritage Status

According to the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili, four protected areas of Georgia: Mtirala and Kolkheti National Parks and Kintrishi and Kobuleti Protected Areas have been granted UNESCO World Natural Heritage status.

"This is the most important event not only for the country but also for the region. "UNESCO World Heritage Sites are the most important part of the Caucasus Eco-region and the Black Sea basin," Gharibashvili wrote on Facebook.
