Tourism Administration to Renew Tourism Photo-Bank
The National Tourism Administration plans to launch new tourism development projects and involve Georgia-based photographers in them.
Mariam Kvrivishvili, director of the National Tourism Administration introduced details of the new projects to the photographers. These projects include various activities, including, photo-tours to all regions of Georgia, and call for updating Georgia’s tourism photo-bank and organizing photo competitions.
“As instructed by the Georgian Prime Minister, today we held a very interesting meeting with photographers. The time has come to update the tourism photo-bank of Georgia and to this end, we introduced various projects to photographers, where they will actively engage in. These projects will assist us to collect photo materials reflecting Georgia’s tourism potential and conducting corresponding contests. It is of crucial importance to involve the pandemic victims, including photographers into these worthy projects that are to promote the tourism industry and save the damaged fields and professions.
The meeting was fruitful and positive. Photographers demonstrated much interest. We agreed to implement these projects jointly on behalf of both the tourism industry and photographers”, Mariam Kvrivishvili noted.
Besides photographers, guides, and travel companies will also actively engage in new projects of the National Tourism Administration. The new projects call for arranging a new database of photo materials on Georgia’s tourism potential. The Tourism Administration will employ these materials for domestic and international marketing campaigns.
