Tbilisi Renovated Balneological Resort to Receive Guests in 2021

Tbilisi renovated balneological resort will receive guests by the end of 2021.

Ketevan Khurodze, director of Maidan Group, one of the owners of the facility with Business Partner, said that the reconstruction of the facility should have been completed by 2020, however, the process was delayed due to the pandemic.

"The construction process has not stopped for a single day, however, there are some delays in bringing the materials. It is difficult for us to say when the renewed resort will receive the guest, however, it is a fact that it will not happen this year, ”said Khurodze.

According to her, in order to improve the tourist infrastructure and balneological resort, solid investments are being made in Tbilisi Balneological Resort Tbilisi-SPA National Scientific-Practical Center for Health and Medical Rehabilitation.

According to Ketevan Khurodze, the company must invest 10 million GEL (8 million + VAT) within 3 years.

The company has made a number of commitments through the privatization of the facility, including: repayment of existing solid credit debts, including payroll and taxes; 

It is also planned to create sanatorium-type hotel rooms (more than 100 rooms) necessary for the balneological resort. Khurodze states that they are working with international brand operators in this direction. She does not specify which international brand can enter the Tbilisi balneological resort as an operator at this stage, however, the works are in the attic phase in this regard.
