Quarantine and Isolation Terms Changed in Georgia

The terms reduce for employees of strategic-importance institutions such as public agencies, law-enforcement bodies, ministries, hospitals, schools, and security services.

Isolation for employees will end on the 6th day if the rapid test is negative. For asymptomatic patients, isolation will end after seven days. For those, who have mild symptoms, the isolation term will be ten days after they are confirmed.

Non-vaccinated or partially vaccinated contact persons will isolate for five days instead of eight. Persons jabbed with booster shots and fully vaccinated, as well as those who recovered from the virus up to 60 days ago, will not be subjected to quarantine.

Wearing facemasks is a must for everyone. Previously, the isolation period for Covid patients with no symptoms made eight days.
