Kakheti Sees Increasing Number of Tourists Compared to Other Regions

There is a revival in the field of tourism. According to TBC Capital, the recovery is taking place mainly in the regions, near Tbilisi, or in summer destinations.

Kakheti seems to have the most visitors, followed by Mtskheta-Mtianeti.

The investment company suggests a significant decrease in the conditions of local tourism activation in Adjara during the summer season.

As for other regions:

• Samtskhe-Javakheti: Improvement in the region is expected at the expense of popular Borjomi-Bakuriani summer destinations;

• Racha-Lechkhumi, Samegrelo, Svaneti and Guria: Despite improvements and the total share of hotels, the total tourism turnover is small here and the effect on industry is minimal;

• Improvements are less observed in Tbilisi, Imereti, Kvemo and Shida Kartli.
