Government Avoids Making Hasty Decision Regarding Opening Land Borders

According to the Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, it is not planned to open land borders yet.

The government will not be able to make hasty decisions regarding the opening of land borders.

"We have not yet taken any urgent steps to open the land borders. Traffic at the land border for Georgian citizens, as well as everything related to the transportation of goods, is absolutely without any delays. We create great comfort for international carrier companies. We monitor the health of each truck driver for a full 72-hour cycle when they have to stay in the country. Control is quite effective, but we do not plan to open land borders yet, ”Giorgi Gakharia said.
