Georgia Hosts Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championship in 2023

The 2023 Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championship will be held in Georgia for the first time.

The Prime Minister noted that intensive work is underway regarding the championship.

"3 new ski runs, and artificial lakes will be constructed in Bakuriani. A lot of work is being done.", noted the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili.

The decision on holding the championship in Georgia was made by the International Ski Federation at a congress in Greece on May 17, 2018. The country submitted an official application for holding the championship in Georgia in April 2017.

According to Irakli Gharibashvili, on February 18-19, 2022 and March 5-6, 2022, Bakuriani will host rounds of the World Cup, which is part of the responsibility imposed by the International Federation.
