April Sees 82,519 International Visitors to Have Arrived in Georgia

A total of 82,519 international visitors have visited Georgia in April 2021, the National Tourism Administration of Georgia reports. The figure has increased by 140.4% as compared to April 2020.

As for the past years’ statistics compared to the same period of 2021, April of 2019 recorded 549,761 international visitors, April 2020 – 34,321 international visitors.

In April international visitors arrived from the following TOP 10 countries:

  1. Turkey – 21,106 visits, up 48% as compared to April 2020;
  2. Israel – 10,098 visitors, up 13,925% year on year
  3. Russia – 8,518 visitors, up 125% year on year;
  4. Armenia – 8,331 visitors, up 4% year on year;
  5. Georgia (nonresidents) – 8,253 visits, up 441% year on year.
  6. Ukraine – 5,922 international visits, up 404% year on year.
  7. Azerbaijan - 5 287 international visits, up 107% year on year;
  8. Uzbekistan – 2,711 international visits, up 293% year on year;
  9. Kazakhstan – 1,639 international visits, up 285% year on year;
  10. Belarus – 1,463 international visits, up 77% year on year.
