Air France: Georgian Aviation Market is Young and Growing Rapidly

Tamar Archuadze, Director of the Georgian Airports Union, met with Iako Khomeriki, General Manager of AIR France and EPG Georgia, General Manager of AIR France, which is the General Agent of AIR France in Georgia. The meeting focused on joint steps and measures that will increase the importance of Georgia as a tourist destination in France.

"Georgia is a young, fast-growing air market. Since 2019, the main airports of Tbilisi and Paris have been connected through us. We are working to make our airline more active in the Georgian air market," said Eric Anconetti.

It was emphasized at the meeting that European destinations and air connections with European capitals are one of the priority issues on the agenda of the Government of Georgia.

''Experience has shown that new directions work very well in our market. We are looking for various ways to speed up the connection between Tbilisi and European capitals by direct flights," Tamar Archuadze said.

The meeting also touched upon the increase of possible frequencies on the part of the airline in the direction of Tbilisi-Paris. The Director of the Georgian Airports Association promised full support to the management of AIR France in the technical part.

AIR France is one of the largest and oldest airlines in the world, which was founded on December 7, 1933, and still operates successfully in more than 200 destinations. The French state-owned airline is one of the founders of SkyTeam, an alliance of global airlines.
