Startup Qeto's Plans to Set Up a Small Enterprise in Dusheti

Qeto's startup producing up to 25 confitures and jams plans to set up a small enterprise in Dusheti.

Keti Meladze, the founder of the startup, told bm.ge that they have already bought land in Dusheti and built a small enterprise, and from next year they will start equipping the space with the necessary equipment after attracting investment.

According to her, 5000 cans of products were produced last year, and due to high demand, it is going to produce up to 20,000 cans this year.

"I make different kinds of confitures and jams. Pepper jam with quince and green pepper jam with feijoa are especially popular. In addition, I have such rare varieties as peach jam with rosemary, and raspberry jam with tarragon. I buy most of the raw materials, but I grow cherries and figs myself and use them for my own production.

I will set up a small enterprise in Dusheti in the future. I have already bought the land. I want to employ locals, plant various fruit trees there and have my own raw materials. My pepper jams, rose and walnut jam was presented in France and deserved a lot of approval, so after the full development of Tbilisi, I will definitely export the product, this is my main plan," she said.

Qeto's appeared on the market in 2020. Startup products are sold in 15 stores in Tbilisi. The price of Qeto's products varies from 5 GEL to 15 GEL.
