Getting into the Christmas Spirit in Tbilisi

The streets are full of Christmas decorations and tunes this year. The festive mood has come again to Tbilisi and so have several Christmas events.

Watch The Nutcracker

Feel the warmth and wonder of the holiday spirit when the curtain goes up at The Nutcracker. Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater has a glorious production that features fantastical sets, costumes, and special effects that leave audiences spellbound and cheering for more, accompanied by live music from Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Opera and Ballet State Theatre Orchestra. This New Year's weekends, make memories that will last a lifetime by seeing The Nutcracker.

Stroll on Orbeliani

Here you will see a variety of New Year decorations, installations, an ice rink, an open-air cinema, christmas market, food outlets, and a decorated Christmas tree, and many more. You will be meeting different famous film or book characters walking around.

Deda Ena Park

Taste Tbilisi hosts a Christmas Market at Deda Ena Park. The celebrations began on December 24 and last until January 14. You can taste Georgian street food, drink Gluhwein, and get into the holiday spirit here, and dance to an electronic music later in the evening.

9 March Garden

This is the place for children to ride different attractions, which I'm sure adults can enjoy too. This place is next to Deda Ena Park.

Look down Tbilisi

Tbilisi likes fireworks, and you can see or hear them virtually any time of year, which isn't a great idea, but you can still find a view point anyplace in Tbilisi and enjoy watching them away from the city's bustle.

Happy New Year!
