Batumi to Host the 19th Black Sea Jazz Festival Dedicated to the Centenary of Miles Davis

Batumi will host the 19th edition of the Black Sea Jazz Festival from July 10–12, bringing together internationally acclaimed artists and jazz enthusiasts for one of the region’s most anticipated music events.

The 2026 edition of the festival is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of jazz legend Miles Davis. The festival will open with The Miles Davis Centennial Celebration, featuring producer and drummer Vince Wilburn Jr.—a member of the Miles Davis family—and the M.E.B. (Miles Electric Band). The project revives Davis’s musical legacy through a contemporary interpretation, creating a unique bridge between the past and the present.

As tradition dictates, the festival will take place at the Batumi Tennis Club courts.

Festival Lineup:

July 10The Miles Davis Centennial Celebration with M.E.B. (Miles Electric Band)

July 11 – Acclaimed American R&B artist Eric Benét

July 12 – Ghost-Note, one of the leading contemporary funk and jazz-funk groups

Festival club after-parties at Take 5 will be held on all three evenings and led by Grammy-winning musician Philip Lassiter and his band. Lassiter is an 11-time Grammy Award winner and one of the most respected figures in contemporary music production.

The Black Sea Jazz Festival is organized by Eastern Promotions. The festival’s traditional presenting partner is TBC Concept, while Mastercard serves as the general sponsor.

Since 2011, TBC Concept has consistently supported Georgia’s jazz festival series, contributing significantly to the development of contemporary music and the strengthening of international cultural exchange. Its support has played a key role in the growth of major regional music events, including the Black Sea Jazz Festival, the Tbilisi Jazz Festival, Jazz & Wine Kakheti, and the Winter Jazz Festival, which debuted in Gudauri in 2024 and moved to Bakuriani for the first time this year.

The Black Sea Jazz Festival remains one of Georgia’s premier international music events, bringing world-class performers to Batumi and strengthening the country’s position on the global cultural map.
