What Factors Protract Electrosystem Rehabilitation Regime
Ucha Uchaneishvili, head of the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) board of managers, explains why the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) rehabilitation regime has protracted.
At this stage, the company is ready to leave the rehabilitation regime, however, certain factors hamper this decision, Uchaneishvili told reporters.
“The company is ready to end the rehabilitation regime. We actively cooperate with Ministry of Economy in this regard. We depend on certain processes that will be implemented in several months.
The company moved to the rehabilitation regime by the court decision and it is upon the court to terminate this regime. Certain issues are being specified with creditors and this is related to Partnership Fund and the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finances. We depend on three structures to stop the rehabilitation process. There are certain issues that we do not speak out”, Uchaneishvili pointed out.
The GSE rehabilitation plan was approved in November 2008. The rehabilitation regime was to be removed by the end of 2019.
