Vakhtang Tsintsadze Forecasts Over $6 Billion in Exports for 2023

Deputy Minister of Economy Vakhtang Tsintsadze recently commented on the positive trajectory of Georgia's foreign trade, particularly highlighting the growth in exports. Speaking in response to the latest figures released by "Geostat," Tsintsadze noted a significant 10.4% increase in exports for October this year, totaling $495 million.

He emphasized that, over the first ten months of 2023, exports have climbed by 12.5%, reaching a remarkable $5.1 billion. Additionally, the overall trade turnover for this period has seen a substantial rise of 16.2%, amounting to $17.8 billion.

Tsintsadze expressed confidence that by the end of 2023, export volumes are expected to surpass the $6 billion mark. He attributed these robust results to the effectiveness of the Georgian government's business support programs. These initiatives, he noted, are crucial in enhancing the country's export potential, diversifying export markets, and boosting the competitiveness of the private sector.
