The Year of 2019 Recorded 5.35 More Construction Licenses
According to Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia, a total of 10 749 construction licenses were issued in 2019, up 5.3% compared to 2018 for developing 7552.9 thousand square meter space, up 21.7% year on year.
The ratio of all licenses was recorded in three regions: Tbilisi – 48.8%, Adjara – 11.7% and Kvemo Karlti Region – 10.6%
IT is noteworthy that in 2019 licenses were issued for constructing multifunctional residential complexes, hotels, trade outlets, industrial facilities, agriculture facilities and other structures. The majority of licenses for building multinational residential complexes were issued in 3 regions: Tbilisi – 34.7%, Kakheti Region – 14.1% and Kvemo Kartli Region – 9.6%.
In whole, a total of 2508 structures were accepted in services with 2547.9 thousand square meter space in 2019, up 21.8% year on year.
