The First Container Train Left via Trans-Caspian Corridor

A new first container train has left between Xi'an (China) and Izmir (Turkey) via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor.

According to Kazakhstan Today, the train will pass through Kazakhstan, Port Aktau, then arrive by boat in the port of Baku, pass through Azerbaijan, Georgia and arrive in Turkey.

The container train consists of 41 units with a 40-foot container loaded with various types of goods. The train will be at the destination on May 1st.

According to KTZ Express, 1.1 thousand TEU containers have already been transported on the Trans-Caspian route in the first 3 months of 2020.
