TAV Georgia will start expanding Batumi Airport in July - Tea Zakaradze, Deputy General Manager of TAV Georgia, the operator of Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, said in the program "Women's Narrative".

According to her, construction will begin as soon as the borders are opened.

"At the moment, the main priority of the company is to start the construction of the airport in Batumi, as soon as the borders are opened on July 1. It was postponed due to the pandemic and hopefully nothing will stop us and we will be able to make the investment that we had for Batumi, ”-Tea Zakaradze said.

The project to expand Batumi International Airport will cost Tav Georgia about USD 10 million. New terminals will be added to the existing terminal and the airport will be able to handle more passengers.
