Six Cities of Georgia to have 175 Brand New Buses

The Ministry of Infrastructure has purchased 175 buses for six cities.

Within the framework of the project, 60 buses will be provided to Kutaisi, 40 to Rustavi, 30 to Gori, 25 to Zugdidi, 10 to Telavi, and 10 to Poti.

The company that won the tender, Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.S., will gradually provide 117 8.5-meter and 58 10-meter buses to municipalities starting from fall and throughout the winter of 2020.

The buses are being purchased within the framework of the Urban Transport Enhancement Program.

The program is being implemented with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and has a total contract value of 18.7 million EUR.
