Oil Bitumen Imports Decline by 31.1% in January-July

As noted by the Union of Oil Products Importers, oil bitumen imports in January-July declined by 31.1%.

Namely, in July 2020 Georgia imported 16,100 tons of oil bitumen, up 0.5 thousand tons (up 3.2%) year on year compared to June 2020 (15,600 tons) and down 3,200 tons (down 16.6%) compared to the same period of 2019 (19,300 tons).

68.9% of imports were carried out from Azerbaijan (11,100 tons), 26.1% from Iraq (4,200 tons), 5% from Russia (0.8 thousand tons).

In January-July oil bitumen imports made up 57,200 tons, down 25,7600 tons (down 31.%) compared to the same period of 2019 (82,900 tons).

Including, 59.3% (33,900 tons) was imported from Azerbaijan, 19.6% from Iraq (11,200 tons), 13.3% from Iran (7,600 tons), 5.6% from Russia (3,200 tons), 1.6% from Armenia (0.900 tons), 0.3% from UAE (0,200 tons), 0.3% form Turkey (0,200 tons).
