Ministry of Health to Establish Drug Quality Control Laboratory

We will establish a medicine laboratory this year to effectively regulate the quality of imported and domestically produced medications,-the Minister of Health announced following the government session.

According to Zurab Azarashvili, up to 6 million GEL has already been allocated from the budget and the process of arranging the laboratory has started.

Recall that from January 1, it became mandatory for local producers to move to GMP certification by 2022.

"In order for both the importer and the local producer to be on equal terms, we will make changes in an expedited manner and ask the importers for GMP certification," the minister said.
