Mamuka Bakhtadze Attends World Economic Forum 2020
The former Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze attends World Economic Forum 2020 in Davos. He participates in blockchain economic forum, which is also presented by nearly 100 well-known economists, representatives of different countries, bankers and investors. The investors possess $150 billion in assets under management.
Within the framework of forum, which name is "Money 2025: Private Banks, Central Banks or Blockchain Digital Currencies.", Mamuka Bakhtadze is one of the speakers.
With Mamuka Bakhtadze, Christopher Giancarlo is participating in the forum, who is the 13th chairman of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
On the panel, former Prime Minister has declared, that Georgia is one of the first countries in the world, which implemented Blockchain technologies in public sector and used them in supplying state services. Apart from this, he also mentioned the education reform, which implies including 6% of Domestic Product from state budget in the education field. This is approximately 1/4 of the budget. Georgia started negotiations with the world's leading company "IOHK", to implement blockchain technologies in education.
Prime Minister also discussed the matters of future of digital currencies, its regulating alternatives, the role of National Bank of Georgia in the field of digital currency regulations and the advantages of Blockchain digital currencies in the terms of 4th industrial revolution.
