Lufthansa to Operate 2 Tbilisi-Munich Flights a Week from August

Lufthansa will operate two flights a week to Munich from August, Prime Minister's Adviser Irakli Chikovani said at a briefing at the government administration.

"After a visit to the European Union for any purpose, Georgian citizens will again have to go through a mandatory 14-day quarantine when returning home. It is important that our citizens also take into account the above approaches of EU member states regarding the opening of borders.

At the same time, negotiations are underway with international airlines in the direction of the 5 EU countries with which we unconditionally open the borders in order to restore air traffic and regular flights. Among them, an agreement has already been reached with Lufthansa regarding the implementation of two flights a week to Munich from August 2020, and we are also working with AirBaltic and AirFrance,''-said Irakli Chikovani.
