Kutaisi Now Enjoys 24/7 Water Supply for the First Time

For the first time in its history, Kutaisi now enjoys 24/7 water supply, as the United Water Supply Company completes phase two of the construction of Kutaisi's water supply infrastructure.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, accompanied by Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, and Imereti Governor Zviad Shalamberidze, familiarized himself with the implemented project.

Under the project, two reservoirs were built in Godogani and one in Mukhrani, with three pumping stations, an 18-kilometer main pipeline, and a 300-kilometer internal distribution network also put in place.

According to the Head of Government, Kutaisi's system of continuous water supply, a problem causing the local population a serious discomfort for decades, has been solved, and similar systemic problems will continue to be solved in the future.

Thanks to the implemented project, more than 200,000 Kutaisi residents can now enjoy continuous water supply 24/7.

The Prime Minister expressed special gratitude to the Asian Development Bank for the project's financial support, namely for investing in excess of 80 million GEL in infrastructural work.
