Japanese Ambassador: Improving Business Environment in Georgia is a Good Message to Japanese Business

“This is a very important agreement that will shape a strong framework for protecting not only investment assets in Japan and Georgia, but also incentivize business in both countries.

Enforcement of this agreement will be a very good message for Japanese business that Georgia’s business environment will improve further. This agreement protects investments and liberalizes new investments. Therefore, we believe that Georgia-Japan cooperation in this field will deepen”, the Japanese Ambassador in Georgia Imamura Akira noted after signing the Georgia-Japan agreement on liberalization, protection, and promotion of investments. The agreement calls for the introduction of legal protection mechanisms in relation to investments in both countries. This process should incentivize private capital turnover in Georgia and Japan, foster entrepreneurial initiatives, efficient development of economic course and deepen economic relations.
