Gomismta – How to Develop the Resort
The Government has launched a system registration of lands in Gomismta. As a representative of Ozurgeti Municipality Press Office Ekaterine Mgeladze told BM.Ge, the registration process started on August 2.
“The group of about 10 persons of the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR) arrived in Ozurgeti and the registration process started two weeks ago. The deadline for applications will end this week and the NAPR representatives will continue measurement works and collection of additional documents up to 2021”, Ekaterine Mgeladze noted.
We remind you that the status of a settlement was conferred to Gomismta in 2020. As for road construction for Gomismta, as the Ozurgeti Municipality press office noted, the 19-km road construction works will start with the financial support of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
The tender was won by LLC New Road and the project is valued by about GEL 19 million. The company must rehabilitate the 13km-32km sections of the Ozurgeti-Shemokmedi-Bjujeti-Gomismta road.
Besides registration of road and land in Gomistma, there are many other problems. As Lasha Babilodze, member of the Gomismta Popularization Initiative Group noted, the public WC issues must be also resolved.
“Many tourists visit the resort in the summer period. Regretfully, they pollute the environment, because they do not drop litter in bins”, Babilodze told BM.GE.
Bio toilets and camping locations will be arranged after road construction works. The road construction works will end in 26 months, Ozurgeti Municipality officials noted.
