Georgia Intensifies Free Trade Agreement Negotiations with India
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia and Indian Ambassador to Georgia Kashan Den Diual have discussed the free trade agreement negotiation process.
The Parties also talked about opening Indian Embassy in Tbilisi. The Georgian Prime Minister hailed the decision on opening Indian Embassy in Tbilisi amid intensifying bilateral relations. The parties deeply analyzed Georgia-India trade and economic relations, further development, and prospects for signing a free trade agreement.
The Indian Ambassador reaffirmed readiness to intensify negotiations on free trade agreements. The Parties have already completed feasibility studies and the first phase of negotiations. The process was protracted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
