Georgia Exports 16,273 Tons of Peach and Nectarine

The peach and nectarine harvest has entered an active phase. As for August 2, Georgia has exported 16,273 tons of peach and nectarine, up 6,521 tons as compared to the same period of 2019.

Key export markets are as follows: Russian Federation with 10,108 tons (62%), Armenia with 5,323 tons (33%), and Azerbaijan with 543 tons (3%). Exports are also carried out to Kazakhstan, Moldova, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Singapore.

As the Agriculture Ministry reports, twenty-two (22) refrigerator complexes have been working at full capacity for undisrupted storing and sales of peach and nectarine.
