Exports in June Declined by 131% to 266.9 million USD

In June, exports of Georgia declined by 13.1%, according to the Geostat, the national statistics service of Georgia. Namely, exports in June amounted to 266.9 million USD, down 40.3 million USD compared to 2019 (down 13.1%).

Imports have also declined essentially to 576.3 million USD, down 120.1 million USD year on year (-17.2%).

On the whole, in January-June Georgia’s exports constituted 1.5 billion USD, down 15.6%, while imports totaled 3.56 billion USD, down 16.6%. Negative trade balance amounted to 2 billion USD in January-June 2020, that is, 407% in foreign trade turnover.
