Economy Minister: We Have Shaped Business Environment Free of Corruption, Confirmed by WB Report
We have shaped the business environment free of corruption. It is very important for any business to enjoy all services without bribery, pressure, and fear. The World Bank’s latest report has also confirmed that it is an absolutely transparent, corruption-free business environment.
Georgia is reported among the top 10 countries in all parameters”, Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava noted regarding the World Bank’s study on business companies.
The World Bank conducts the study on business companies together with the partners (EBRD, EIB, DFID). The study covers all geographical regions of the world and hundreds of small, medium, and major private companies. In terms of a corruption-free environment, Georgia has deserved one of the best marks. Namely, Georgia ranks among the top 10 countries in terms of the absence of bribery.
The World Bank conducts the study every four years with the aim to evaluate the business environment. As part of the study, owners and top managers of 581 companies were inquired in Georgia from March 2019 to January 2020.
