Container Shipping Rates by Transcaspian International Transport Route (TITR) are Record High
Under the leadership of Director General David Peradze, the Georgian Railway delegation attended the meeting of the International Association of Transcaspian International Transport Route (TITR) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Members of the Association summarized the results of 2019 and noted that in 2019 the container freight shipped by the Caspian Sea increased by 71% (10.7 tens TEU) and this is a record shipping figure in the corridor. In addition, the feeder service launched in April 2019 significantly increased the amount of cargo in the Middle Corridor and reduced container shipping time.
New members joined the Association of TMTM- the Chinese company Xi'an Continental Bridge International Logistics Co., Ltd and the Kazakh - the Aktau Marine North Terminal. The meeting agreed on the tariff policy for 2020.
